The Japanese sea nettle (aka Pacific sea nettle) is one of the common large stinging jellyfish found in the Pacific Ocean. It's a bell-shaped invertebrate that is semi-transparent. The Japanese sea nettle's sting is rated as moderate-to-severe, deadly to small sea animals but harmless to humans (unless you have an allergic reaction to it). You can neutralized the sting by pouring some vinegar on the affected area.
