Water Polo Ball Papercraft

A cleverly designed water polo ball papercraft from the official Japanese page of the Gifu Prefecture (aka Gifu-ken) water polo team, who is vying for a spot in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Water polo balls used to be a solid yellow color, but recent developments in the game have introduced / permitted middle stripes (of a different color) on each side of the ball. The water polo balls look a lot like volleyball (balls) in structure, except that they're made of a waterproof material and covered with a special texture for gripability.
